Battle of the CT FREEBIE

Hi all! Over at Digiscrap Addicts they are having a battle of the CTs. I'm on the team for one of my designers, Colie's Corner. For our first week challenge, we had to choose one of three recipes to follow and the whole team had to scrap a page with that recipe. Then each team also had to decide on an equation and all use the same one.

Here's my page based on the recipe and equation our team chose:

I used several of Colie's kits to make my LO. The main ones I used were Love Rocks, Life's a Stage, and Side Note.

I loved the way the equation turned out. I used the alphas from Life's a Stage and Tis the Season to make it. And because I love it so much, I'm giving it to you as a freebie!

Click here to download it at 4shared. Then head over to DSA to vote for your favorite designer. I'd love you to vote for Colie's Corner, but really, you can vote for anyone you want. Oh, and you don't have to be registered at DSA to vote, so be sure to click on over and vote!

A Trip to the Doctor

I've had these pictures of my super cute niece sitting in my inbox for over three months, but knew they couldn't be scrapped with just any kit. Well I finally found the perfect kit for them. It's called Not the Doctor by C.W. Picket and Co.

The kit was inspired by a trip to the ER with her daughter. Sad day for her daughter, but happy day for us scrappers. Not the Doctor comes with 14 papers and 28 elements and is perfect for scrapping scrapes and bruises and doctor visits too!

I know the preview has lots of bright colors. That's probably what first caught my eye. That and I love the color orange, so anything with orange in it always stands out to me. But I love that it also has enough soft colors in there that it's perfect for a LO of a baby's first trip to the doctor.

See, what did I tell you? It was the perfect kit for these photos!

Just click on the image to grab it at the store. And while you're at DSDI, make sure to grab August's daily download. Here's a preview of the kit you can collect if you come each day:

Scrapping School Tomorrow

Hi all! Just wanted to let you know about a great event starting at Digi Scraps Drive-In tomorrow. It's Scrapbook School!

There will be lots of great tutorials on scrapbooking, and after each tutorial will come a challenge where you get to try out what you learned. If you complete the challenges with DSDI's new Scrap to School kit, you'll be entered into a drawing to win prizes. But you don't have to use the kit to play along.

So make sure to stop by DSDI tomorrow and learn how to scrap (or scrap better) with us!

Space Cowboy

So the point of scrapping is to do something with those millions of photos sitting on my hard drive, right? Right. Except sometimes I take pictures just so I can use a cute new scrap kit. Such is the case with Melly's Scraps new kit Space Cowboy:

Just love this kit! (Click on the preview to grab it at Digi Scraps Drive-In.) And my kiddo loves Toy Story. He has a Buzz doll and recently got a Woody doll that he plays with all the time. I just hadn't gotten around to taking any pictures of him playing with his toys since he'd gotten Woody.

But once I saw this kit, I knew it was time to remedy that situation. And of course, my son is always willing to pose for a few shots for me. I'm glad to have this moment of his life now captured.

It's funny to me that I started scrapping to do something with all the pictures I have of my son, but now that I scrapbook, I take more pictures just to scrap with!

New Release: Happily Ever After and a FREEBIE

Andrea (of Scraps by Andrea) is back in full swing! After having a new baby girl, I was eagerly anticipating her first kit back to be super girly and she has definitely exceeded my expectations with the cutest kit, inspired by her daughter's sleeper. It's called Happily Ever After:

The clip art is included in the kit, along with 22 papers and 90+ elements. Click on either preview to grab it in her store at Stuff to Scrap. She also has matching cardstock and glitter styles, which you can buy in a bundle with the kit or get it separately.

My favorite thing about this kit is that, as girly as it is, it's also perfect for scrapping boy pages. Here are two pages I made with it: one of my niece and one of my son.

And of course, last but not least, I have a freebie for you that I made with this new kit. Two different frame clusters, one pink and one blue. Just click on the preview to download from 4shared.

It has 24 papers and 36 elements all waiting for you to add your holiday photos. You can grab this awesome kit at Digi Scraps Drive-In.

Here's a LO I did with this kit from when we went to the Jubilee (I think that's what it's called) in St. George.

DSDI Happenings

There's lots of fun going on at Digi Scraps Drive-in right now. First up, they have a daily download where you can download bits of a kit each day until you get the full kit. I'm a little late in telling you, as today is day 6 of the download, but it goes to the end of the week so you can still grab a lot of great pieces.

Here's a LO I made with the kit:

I scrapped that at last night's speed scrap at DSDI. This month they are hosting an entire month of speed scraps. That's right, a speed scrap every single day. I'm even hosting one of them this Thursday at 3 EDT (noon pacific). Instead of getting participation prizes for every speed scrap, they are awarding points and after ten points, you get a $5 gift card to spend in a special speed scrap section of the store. You can check out all the rules here. Hope to see you there!

Smooth Sailing Freebies

Did you read that title? Yes, I said freebies. As in, more than one. Because this kit is too awesome to just have one freebie for it. :)

Smooth Sailing is a new kit by Snickerdoodle Designs by Karen. It has 24 papers, 81 elements and a full alpha. She even has matching styles which you can buy separately or in a huge bundle (with the kit, add-on, QPs and brag book). Just click on the preview to grab this awesome kit at Digi Scraps Drive-In:

I just loved creating with this kit! It has so much to work with. I used the styles to create the rectangular frame in my LO:

Now on to your freebies! For those of you that love quickpages, I turned my LO into a QP for you.

And for those that don't use QPs, such as myself, I have a cluster freebie for you!

Actually, whether you use QPs or not, you'll get both freebies for the price of one click (and however many seconds 4shared makes you wait) since they are zipped up together. Just click on either preview to download.
